Optimally designed
The HK type boiler series are welded steel boilers built up with a 3 pass fire tube design. The material wall thicknesses are all thicker than the requirements of EN 303-5 and/or OENORM M 7550 . The flame tube is open on the downside for using this boiler types with under feed fire boxes. In the boiler the warmth of the hot flue gas, developed in the firing area, is transferred into the heat distribution medium (water) . The flame temperature in the firebox normally amounts 900 - 1,000 °C. The cleaning of the fire tubes is possible through a cleaning door. An Eyehole for the monitoring of the firing is situated in optimal position. The necessary boiler cleaning tools are included.
The special boiler base is designed for under feed Stoker firing and at the front side a large ash door is situated. (an automatic ash extraction screw conveyor is available as an option.) The fireproof masonry of the combustion chamber and the chapel are designed for high temperature radiation. The fuel brought by the Stoker into the boiler base (under feed fire box) is pushed up into a fuel pile. The combustion air is regulated through 4 or 6 adjustable vents, to provide the right amount of air in each zone. The radiant heat from the masonry and the chapel gasifies the pile of fuel.
It is ensured that the amount of fuel and combustion air quantity are matched to give an optimal gasification of the fuel which is guaranteed by the retention time in the firing area.
